Servicing & After Care
We pride ourselves on our aftercare and service work. All of our technical work is carried in store, or by trade-certified technicians. Unlike some companies, we do not subcontract out our repair and service work, this means you will receive the same in-store service as when you purchased your mobility scooter and repair time can be much storter.
Mobility Scooter Service
We recommend that your mobility scooter is serviced every 6 to 12 months, but this will of course depend on the distance you have traveled. Greater distance traveled means your mobility scooter will need more frequent servicing. All new mobility scooters come with the first service FREE. A complete service involves our qualified technicians checking all mechanical aspects of your mobility scooter making sure it is in tip top condition. You will also receive a written report after the service noting any works carried out or repairs that may be needed. Full FREE information can be found here in our Library.
New or old customers are welcome and can book a service or pre-purchase inspection at any time. Just call us on 07 575 2033.
We are also happy to come to visit your centre, village or residential home, to explain how to complete basic maintenance and look after your mobility scooter. Contact us now to arrange this.
Parts & Repair
We can repair most brands of mobility scooters. We carry a range of spare parts at our store and in our mobile service van. We have access to parts and spares for the majority of mobility scooters. Anything that is not held in stock can quickly be ordered in.
AA Roadside Rescue
Your safety is important to us at Mobility Solutions, this is why for all scooter purchases we include full AA breakdown cover for 3 years. Should for some reason your mobility scooter fail, or you get a flat tyre you simply call the 0800 734 543 and the AA will come out and pick you and your mobility scooter up and return you safely home.
Training and Tuition
Learning to us a mobility scooter safely can be daunting for some people. Training is given free of charge to all our customers. We are happy to spend time with you at your home explaining how your new mobility scooter operates and how to get the best out of it. Our training is backed up by the NZTA guide ‘Ready to Ride – Keeping Safe on your mobility scooter’. A free copy of this guide is given to all new customers or pick up your free copy in store.
We are also happy to visit your centre, village or residential home, and give a free talk and training session to your members or residents on scooters, power chairs, or on any of the equipment we sell. Contact us now to arrange to this.
We are also available to come to you – at your home, community centre, village, church group, coffee group… Just give us a call or make a booking here.
